An intricate, considered and luxurious handcrafted collection of textile samples for the high-end market.  Photographing beaches along the south east and south west coasts of England provided the core of my inspiration.  I was determined to produce textiles that did not result from technology.  I have used seaweed as a material, a fibre, ‘SeaCell’ and a sequin to show that designers can source materials within the environment to create beautiful pieces. Techniques include hand and machine embroidery, hand dyeing and screen printing.
