A textile wall hanging commissioned for a private client's stairwell.

Falling 2.5 meters in length and 1m in width, this piece is made predominantly with seaweed.
The base fabric of this piece has been made with SeaCell fibre, which Jasmine constructs into fabric using digital embroidery techniques in her Edinburgh based studio. The SeaCell tassel embellishments have been hand dyed by Jasmine using seaweed that she hand harvests, under license, from the south east coast of Scotland. Adding a pop of colour, Jasmine has used her handmade seaweed coloured beads in rich pinks, vibrant greens and deep browns, creating a lovely subtle contrast to this neutral and tactile wall hanging.

A framed triptych textile art commissioned for a private client's dining room.

This piece has been made with my SeaCell fibre fabric and has been naturally dyed with buckthorn bark. Inspired by tufted coral weed, the textural motif has a combination of bamboo/silk (cream) thread and viscose (pinks). There is a very subtle gradient in pink moving from light (bottom) to dark (top).
Dimensions: 140cm x 80cm (individual frame 46cm x 80cm).
